Meet the Team
Chris Hansen
Owner

Chris Hansen is a Wisconsin native who first started keeping bees in 1998 on the dairy farm where he was raised. Since starting his own honey farm, Chris has dabbled in just about everything the beekeeping industry has to offer. Originally a farmer, lumber mill worker, and truck driver by trade, Chris has carried his many skills over to his life as an apiarist. As well as loving the care and study of honeybees, Chris's passions include drinking coffee, networking with people, constructing buildings, and rebuilding vintage trucks and tractors. When he isn't working, Chris enjoys spending time camping, fishing, and watching movies with his wife and eight kids.
Faith Hansen
Store Manager

The oldest of the Hansen children, Faith was born into the honey business. Spending her youth selling honey at the farmers market with her dad Chris, and tagging along on late-night bee hauling runs, Faith grew up watching and helping her family develop their farm. Despite not being very fond of the bees herself, Faith found other ways to contribute. Her first part-time job was painting bee boxes and doing other odd jobs around the store. Taking a hiatus from the family business after graduation, Faith spent several years in food service, before a passion for business management brought her back to the shop. Now Faith manages all day-to-day operations at Hansen Honey Farm, as well as anything else she can get her hands on. When she's not holding down the fort, she enjoys writing, watching movies, and gardening.
Bekah Hansen
Shop Gopher

As far back as she can remember, Bekah has been playing with bees on the family farm. The third oldest of the Hansen children, she remembers well helping to install bees, paint bee boxes, and check bee yards with her dad Chris. Getting her first part-time job on the farm, Bekah spent her high school years doing odd jobs around the shop and learning how to run the store and make spreadsheets. After graduation she has transitioned into a seasonal role, cooking at a local summer camp, and spending the rest of the year staying busy at Hansen Honey Farm. Calling her role the "Shop Gopher," she keeps herself busy running around the farm checking bees, manufacturing woodenware, watching the store, and doing anything else that needs to be done. When she's not working, Bekah enjoys cooking, painting, and making coffee.
